Coderus is delighted to have Rob joining our development team this spring.
Rob’s main responsibilities at Coderus will be focused on an exciting internal project that has many moving parts and a massive amount of potential.
Rob’s background is in insurance, having worked at RBS and LV= before deciding to complete a Computer Science Degree at The Colchester Institute, which he graduated from in 2016 with a First. Soon after this, he began his career as a developer, most recently working in Azure Data Analytics and Engineering.
To date, Rob’s proudest achievement is achieving his First-Class Honours Degree whilst working full-time and raising a young family simultaneously.
I am proud to have been brave enough to completely change careers after being established in another industry for so long.
Rob is a bit of a petrol head at heart and enjoys motoring and motorsports involving anything from two to four wheels!
This stems from many years marshalling at the Snetterton race circuit in his youth, subsequently following motorsports and going on to own a variety of powerful bikes and cars later on.
Since changing careers, Rob is always learning new things from home, so he spends a lot of time online learning.
Recently, Rob’s developed a strong interest in data and now focuses on Data Engineering topics such as Big Data Analytics and Cloud Technologies.
As a result of these studies, Rob has acquired some related Microsoft Azure certifications.
