Coderus is proud to announce that we have expanded our backend team with Caleb Hoffman, our newest cloud engineer. Caleb will be contributing to some external website changes as well as looking into leveraging various cloud services for an internal project.
Before joining Coderus, Caleb was in the US military, which is what brought him to the UK in 2010. Stationed at RAF Lakenheath, Calebās primary role was to provide logistical support for the various maintenance squadrons on base.
After completing an Undergraduate Degree in Education and Childhood Studies at Anglia Ruskin University, Caleb entered the field of IT with his completion of a Masters course in Computer Science at the University of East Anglia. Since then, Caleb has worked for another Suffolk based company, starting out in an application support role for a year before gaining enough experience to progress into a software development role where he worked primarily within the .NET framework on various internal web applications.
Some of Calebās achievements include completing the AWS Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect (Associate) and Solutions Developer (Associate) Certifications over the past six months.
I am really excited to be working here! I love to learn and there is an endless amount to learn within IT!
Kansas City in Missouri, where Caleb is from, is well known for its barbeque so in his free time thatās just what Caleb likes to do! He enjoys slow smoking meat on a BBQ smoker and playing the guitar and bass. More recently, Caleb has taken up woodcarving and carves little caricature characters for his children to play with. On top of this, Caleb runs a personal blog using AWS to track his AWS learning and practice different implementations of various AWS services.
