User Research Discovery and Concept Specification

As part of our discovery research and concept specification process, we will focus completely on understanding your market and target audience(s), looking at their demographics, interests, purchases intentions, user behaviours and more – and how you can create value for them via your app. We will then conduct additional research and analysis using our own pioneering in-house automated insights data software to prepare product specifications and road maps.

UX Wireframing

Using the research we have gathered, we will create wireframes for your mobile app to guide, which will guide the rest of the design process. Wireframes are a two-dimensional visual representation of the user interface, while wireframing describes the process of designing a mobile app at a structural level. The purpose of a wireframe is to define user journeys and flow of the app, and includes transitions and interactions such as windows and buttons but does not include styling, colours or graphics.

Prototyping and Usability Testing

Once the wireframe of the mobile app is finalised, we will then make your app design into a clickable prototype. Prototypes are vital because they allow us to test and validate proposed implementations and give us insight into the app’s usability and reveal deeper insight into user behaviour to inform design decisions moving forward. Using this data, we will test and re-iterate the design over and over again until we have a finalised UX flow ready for launch.

After the prototypes have been tested and finalised, we will then work on the UI design to ensure that branding and logo resonate on the market. In this stage of the design process, we will be working on the branding, interface design and visual representation of the app including mood boards, colour schemes, typography/fonts, size of the fonts, shapes, buttons, forms, animations, illustrations and more – all of which come together in a final style guide.
