Blake joined us recently as a QA tester/developer. Blake is a recent University of Essex BSc graduate, with a 2:1 in Computer Science.
His final year project was with Lysanda, creating an application using their Eco-Log micro dongle which runs on the Windows Phone and Windows desktop platforms. For one of his degree modules, he led a team that created a fitness tracking system consisting of an Android app which communicated with a data server for analytical purposes.
One of his personal projects was modifying a gaming app, that resulted in the number of downloads increasing significantly. Work experience with a national furniture store gave him commercial experience with the use of office software and included creating a product comparison website, used to identify which of their products were most profitable. For outside interests, he’s recently taken up running, time will tell if this results in him signing up for the London marathon next year!
It’s good to have yet another excellent graduate from the University of Essex. We have created a strong team of recent recruits who will be alternating between QA and development training for the first few months while they establish themselves. This new team creates additional capacity ready for the business to develop and grow.
